In Manhattan at Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus

This weekend intensive is our favorite workshop format for Coherence Therapy skill-building. We'll begin with a live demonstration session and then participants will work in small groups doing their own real sessions as we sit in to coach and provide real-time feedback. After each session we'll de-brief participants' experience and address any and all aspects of Coherence Therapy before starting a new session, with participants taking turns as therapist. It's an action learning intensive that will attune both your intellect and limbic system to Coherence Therapy methodology! Everything you learn will be useful immediately in your own sessions on Monday.
12 hours CE credit are available.
Enrollment will be limited to licensed therapists and counselors (or students in accredited graduate training programs) who have read either the Coherence Therapy Practice Manual or the book Depth Oriented Brief Therapy and have at least four months of experience studying and using Coherence Therapy. Because the size of this intensive workshop is limited, please register early.
Lodging and meals will be the responsibility of participants; however, coffee, tea and other beverages will be served.
Tuition fees:
Online registration, early bird: $265 (on or before Oct. 13)
Online registration, regular: $285 (after Oct. 13)
Group of 3 or more: $255 per person
Student/Intern: $175 (documentation required)

The evening seminar will acquaint
attendees with Coherence Therapy briefly but vividly through session
video segments followed by a live demonstration session.
The two-day workshop will provide a grounding in Coherence Therapy
through both conceptual and experiential learning. Session video
segments and a live demonstration session will illustrate the
methodology and various techniques. Participants
will have ample opportunity to practice and receive coaching in small
groups. Lecture topics will include the corroboration that Coherence
Therapy’s process receives from the recent neurobiological discovery of
how ingrained emotional memory circuits become unlocked and unwired.

The psychotherapeutic goal of profound
change of a person’s emotional conditioning is widely assumed to
require long-term work. In this introductory workshop, participants
will practice a clinical methodology, coherence therapy, that follows
the brain’s recently discovered rules for swiftly unwiring ingrained
emotional responses. Videos and a live session will illustrate an
experiential, empathic process that can make lasting cessation of
symptoms a regular occurrence in clinical practice. A brief account of
the new neurobiology of implicit memory erasure is included.

Clinicians feel their greatest satisfaction when clients experience a deep shift that frees them from ingrained emotional reactions and symptoms. But how often does that kind of life-changing shift actually occur in our practices? In this workshop, you'll see videotaped case excerpts and a live session demonstrating Coherence Therapy, an empathetic, experiential process that helps clients access and transform the core emotional schemas underlying a given symptom or problem, which can yield profound change regularly, often in just a few sessions. You'll learn about the newest neuroscience of implicit memory re-wiring, which explains why this clinical process can end entrenched negative reactions, revise old attachment patterns, and heal deep emotional wounds, and you'll get to practice the model step-by-step.
